So I bought the ones which are 120W and 20W "Osram" V-shaped ones. To me V-shaped ones are nicer and are less bright but lights both rings more equally. 120W just blinds first ring.

I think LUX H8 189 angel eyes seem to be the best option without going for the new Ultra Bright SMD LED Lights available on AliExpress, but priced at $229 makes it very very expensive and unreasonable. I wish they could come down at least 50% on the price to make it more affordable and within the reach of many X5 E70 owners for a retrofit.

The new Ultra Bright SMD LED Lights available on AliExpress cost only $50, the only problem is you have to remove the whole headlight assemblies and then remove the original ring tubes to fix them in which is quite a daunting and complex task. Tough situation indeed.
