E90 Gasoline High Cluster Question

Hello all,

I want to change my cluster from normal type to high cluster.
I opened the high cluster to prepare it for virginise it an i found this.
Can you tell me please what this modification due?

I might be totally wrong here, but it seems like the location of the check engine light. So this mod would make the check engine light turn on and then off like all other cluster lights when you start the car.
