You really can't go wrong with either. I did a lot of research when I bought mine and those the 2 best options I could find. HKS is another quality piece but I cannot stand the noise it makes. I am running synapse now and I love it. Thought about switching to tial just to get a bit more sound, but not really sure.

Anyone with the synapse have like a pre-mature blow off/leaking sound? I am running it right now and during partial throttle, it sounds like its leaking once boost begins building.

Yes mine does that but it is because you are making boost yet your engine doesn't need it.

LOVE the Synapse BOV/kit btw

I think AA was like $700 the last time I checked. I got Synapse from their website for like $450 on sale, I like the "new" design. It is piston actuated and can hold up to 100 psi because the psi works with the valve, not against it. Most have springs that need to upgraded with more boost since the psi works against the valve. It sounds really nice but not all squeely like HKS. The charge pipe is nice too, lightweight aluminum with a black coating. It changes out the stock connectors with better/stronger connections that (when installed properly) won't blow off under heavy boost. I have a manual and love the sound, but with an automatic you won't really hear it much unless you purposefully rev it up and let off just to hear it... but it is still nice to get rid of the hot air instead of recycling it!

Only thing I don't like about the synapse is that it stays open until you make boost.
