19" Winter Pkg Bad Idea?

My new 335 xi will come with 19" RFT summers.

I currently have 19" RFT summers from my old 335 xi, but the tires need replacing.

Just wondering what the downside might be, if any, on keeping these older 19" rims for winter use - I would run 235/35/19 Blizzaks, vs selling them off for an entirely new 17-18" winter wheel pkg.

It's obviously cheaper to keep the 19" wheels and just replace tires...but I'm concerned about 19s for winter use...should I be???

I don't think there is any 19" low profile winter tires on the market.

Garage List
That is incorrect there is a low pro, but it'll prob run you the same as getting a set of replica 17's with winters from SimplyTire.

Budget around $1600+ and if you want low pro tires it'll cost roughly $1200-$1500.

Your call, but 19's is fine. It'll just be harder to cut through the snow than with a 17

Edit: with Canadian winters if day the 19's are fine lmao!

You are awd, won't be a problem for you.

I'm also considering using my stock 19" 335is wheels for winter but worried I'll be all over the place. After this lack of winter I'm a little less concerned

A lot of us with the 335-iSE that came with the 19" switched to 17" Replicas and Winter Treads from OEM Concept.

Fantastic Rim Quality and tire price.

Shipped to your door.
