OBDII Diagnostic Capabilities?
Quick question for you ecu experts out there:
I had a check engine light and my car went into limp mode about three times within a week after a punk valet drove my car. I restarted the car each time, and the light would then go off and the car would drive fine. This all occurred about 2 months ago and the car has driven fine since then. The only mods I have on my '08 335 are a JB3 and DCI. I finally had time to take my car into a shop today to have it checked. The mechanic reported finding no stored codes, or any other problems reported by the ecu. The machine he used to run the diagnostic was an OBDII scanner that he says can read all ecu's through 2008 models. Should I not be worried any more, or is there a possibility that the OBDII scanner might have missed something? Thanks in advance for any advice/help! |
