PROcede setting question??

So,
I got the PROcede in April/May (CANbus and all) I was told at the time i had the latest maps. So been running it for the last few months and LOVE IT!!!

BUT... with all this talk of new maps just released I got a quick question. I downloaded the new maps from Vishnu and am getting ready to head to the car... however...do i need to update any firmware or anything? What else is needed? Or do i just go load the maps and drive the piss out of the car

Thanks guys

No, you've GOT to make sure that you update/run the correct firmware with the correct set of maps.

All necessary firmware should either be in the maps zip folder or on its own as an attachment right there with the new maps.

Hope this helps

OK.. thanks for all the help but now i am getting a little more confused... mostly my fault i am sure. I have extracted one file that states "PROcede User Software_v3_121" and another that states "v3-2.2 2-19 map1=map2"

but my little experience with computer based tuning has me not seeing "firmware" in either of those titles... and raises concern. I have looked all thru the Vishnu site. I am certain what i need is there (if i do not already have it) but am uncertain as to what exactly i am looking for.

On a side note.. I feel pretty comfortable navigating through the user adjustables and hooking up to the car/PROcede... although i have not really changed anything except turning Valet mode on for when the wife drives the car

Again... thanks for all the help and not flaming the rookie!!

pro01v03beta127.zip is the firmware. unzip that and it will be a .bin

that is what you need to load first.

do you know the process? to load firmware turn the ignition on (but don't start the car). connect with the proced software and update the firmware. then start the car and load the map
