Proper code clearing procedure with Bav Tech Tool
Helping a buddy deal with as issue on his 335 and we had some trouble getting codes cleared. The directions are very specific about the order things have to be done to get running, but not about what happens after you hit the clear all codes icon.
When starting, we went: Turn computer on Insert cable into USB Insert cable into ODB port Turn ignition on Open BT Program Run module tests, short test, clear codes, etc. So at this point, what's the right way to back out of everything? Do you kill the BT program or the ignition first? We must have done something wrong, as all of the codes were still there when we ran back through to check them. Sorry for what's probably a dumb question, but I'm completely new to this stuff. Thx for any replies. |

Thanks guys, I'll try shutting the BT program down and see if that helps. The codes are present on an immediate rescan, so it's not like they're recurring.
I appreciate all of the help. |
