Largest Fitting Wheel Specs
What are the largest wheel specs that will fit on a 2011 328i body without rubbing and with stock suspension? Looking for an upgrade from stock 17s to possible VMR 19s. Wheel newbie here! xD

Would this leave any room for suspension upgrades such as lowering springs? And is there a way to predetermine or measure some of this stuff or is it mostly just trial and error on what fits?

There is alot of combination around the specs I have gave. For instance you could go 235 35 19 8.5 et 25 front with no issues and a small drop in lowering springs such a eibach pro kit.... but maybe not so much if u put h&r lowering springs as these lower the car a fair bit, but if u did want the dramatic drop, then u might want to put a 225 35 19 tyre on the front, or change the offset back to et35 . It's a big subject and depends on your goals if u want an aggressive stance where the wheels sit more flush with the wheel arches...and sometimes u will need a narrower tyre to stretch over the alloy more to create more room for such a stance. Most of all the wheel/tyre size alloy size offset size have been done over the years and most have an idea what will fit and what will not without adding camber plates....dialing in camber... shaving or rolling fenders etc etc. That's why people come here for answers. Let us know ur exact goals and we'll try and help out. And if u don't already understand how offset on alloys work, it's a good idea to find out so u know what we are talking about and it's good to understand it as well to put a picture in ur head what we mean 🙂

With 19s the ride is a little harsh just so you know if your not worried about ride quality it's fine if you are I suggest 18s

If you don't want to roll your fenders then "flush/aggressive" fitment is out of the question for you especially if you lower. Putting lowering springs on stock shocks isn't going to save you any money short term, eventually those shocks will wear out and you'll have to replace them. I would suggest getting the eibach pro kit, it will lower it just enough and keep the ride quality. Do it right the first time and save yourself a headache

Yeah defo go with the eibach pro kit...this will lower the care just nicely. The HR springs lower the car a fair bit and will be more harsh a ride as well. I would defo go 18 inch alloys as well. If u want it to look quite flush go with a 225 40 18 et 25 8.5j and 255 35 18 et30 9.5 rear.... This is a rough idea on what u need. But of course u could go 19s if u wish. 225 35 19 front and 255 or 265 30 19s rear.

This depends on whether the car is a coupe or sedan. Our recommended specs for each are as follows:
Coupe: (f) 19x8.5 ET35 235/35/19 (r) 19x9.5 ET33 265/30/19 Sedan: (f) 19x8.5 ET35 235/35/19 (r) 19x9.5 ET45 265/30/19 ET33 has been done on the rear of the sedan, but it's a bit of a tight fit. Here are a few pictures that show what our recommended fitments look like. They are all based on stock to mildly lowered ride height.

Don't want to hijack but I'm exactly in the same boat as OP. I'm a newbie. I really wanted 19 inch Avant garde M359 but they only do 19x9 front and 19x10 front. Are these to big?
If they are I guess I would need to get their 18x8.5 ET35 and 18x9.5 ET33 but then I would have to get new tires. It's for a 2011 335is. Or VMR V703 Last edited by TheMidnightNarwhal; 08-02-2018 at 09:05 AM.. |

As long as you aren't lowered to the point where you're tucking your tires under the fenders, you should be just fine with the above specs. If there's anything you're interested in from our lineup, just let me know and I'll be happy to send a PM with some pricing and detailed info! Quote:

Thanks I think we already emailed each other. I was the one looking at the V703 in Matte Black. If I get your 19s what are the correct offsets again? |

The front would be 8.5 ET40 and the rear would be ET33 (coupe or E90 pre-LCI) or ET45 (E90 LCI).

But do you know if my tires would still fit on the new wheels? My tires right now front are 225/40 R19 and rear are 255/35 R19. |

As Donethat said above, 225 and 255 on 9 and 10 inch wheels will be a good bit of stretch. I've got 19x9 and 19x10 wheels shipping to me now, and I'll be going 255/30 and 275/30 on those. Offsets are 29 front and 40 rear, this should fit my 2010 E92 without fender mods on stock Sport suspension and/or lowered a bit.
