Need rear brakes
Figures after my warranty is over I need brakes.
I need to have my brakes done, can anyone recommend someone reliable in the Bronx, lower Westchester County, Queens for a 2006 325xi, 4 door sedan, everything is stock. Thanks in advance.

Which brakes pads do you recommend?
Which brake pads would you recommend, I basically drive my car on weekends or on my days off, do not drive it hard. Thanks in advance.

save yourself the headache and do it at the dealership. you have a brake sensor in your passenger side rear and it require changing along with pads. i did it myself and i cant even reset the brake warning light and dealer wants 200$ for diagnostic and 85$ for the reset, wish i would of done it at the dealer

Didn't order any parts yet, but will order the sensors too, and rotors if it is recommended to purchase for a brake install.
Thanks.

if you are refering to me.. Yes i've tried going through the reset menu on the cluster and yes i have replaced the brake sensor( 3 of them, 2 aftermarket and 1 oem) and i still have oem plugged in. I also check the connectors on the harness and it does have a current but brake light wont reset and miles still at -40miles

Is your warranty over or you still have time? If you still have it schedule an appointment and complain that your brakes are squealing. They should replace them under warranty.

jlE90, I just got to thinking about this as I was writing up a post the other day. Maybe the problem is that your front brakes are in need of replacement as well as the rear, and the pad wear indicator is lit because the front pad sensor worn too. Just a thought... |
