Ray's the Classic in Silver Spring takes reservations. that place is one of my favorite steak places

oh, never knew they were up there too, I'll check it out next time. There's also Ray's Hell Burger on Wilson Blvd and I hear that place is great as well (some say it's better than Five Guys, but I find it hard to imagine)

I like the red velvet cupcakes over at Georgetown Cupcakes

cakelove is underwhelming. The best cupcakes I've tried are the ones from Sprinkles, sadly they're not available here.

i picked up a dozen of cupcakes from Sprinkles when i was in Scottsdale a few weeks ago. still have some in the fridge.

i thought they were good, but nothing special

Ray's Hell Burger... IMHO, better then 5 Guys, and I am still a big 5 Guys fan. The downside to Rays is the lack of fries.

Cake love... yeah their cupcakes suck, but man do they make great cakes. Good local story behind the owner too. Used to be a lawyer and decided he liked to make cakes more.

Pizza... matchbox, paradisio (georgetown, for the beers), and two amy's
