I wish I could pull out a great food recommendation, I'm pretty jaded with the choices I have at work.

Chef Geoff's is no sleeper, that place is tops. 2 locations now and all.

Lots of places are struggling for business now. You can walk into Chez Francois with no reservation now a days. For the budding epicurean, this can be a good time to try new things as even the nice places are offering 'deals' like cheap tasting menus and buy 1 get 1 entree offers. (the second one is for your significant other, not you, fatso.)

To take it to the other end of the spectrum: Steak n Egg on Wisconsin Ave. 24 hours breakfast, 12 seats, and nothing but grease and attitude. I love it.

I never had a bad experience at Sweet Water. My favorite place for decent meal, good service and great beer.

The local papers here in Annapolis have more coupons and ads running for all the restaurants in town. Normally you have to have reservations at many of them, not anymore!

Pizza: Paradiso or Tony's in Fairfax

Sushi: Tachibana

Thai: Bangkok Garden, Nava Thai, BKK 54, Thai Square, Po Siam

Pho: Pho 75

Steak: Capital Grille....there has to be better but I have yet to have it

Chinese: Full Kee

Dim Sum: China Garden

Crabs: Mike's in MD

Well, if you count Raja's party, it's DimSum on Sat afternoon, Thai for dinner, then Korean BBQ on Sunday.

I thought the food was alright. Wasn't worth the (sometimes) ridiculous lines, imho. Crabs are crabs imho, they're all prepared the same way with the same bay seasoning. How boring.
