I am taking my Mazda 3 back to DD this tuesday for a redo on 3 of 4 windows. They had to rush through mine the 1st time around due to another customer ( 5 series owner) showing up an hour late.I have cluster of bubbles from dust. I will let you know in about a week how it is.

That's what I was quoted also but that was just from the general online one. I'm hoping its not that much since I'm seeing a lot of low 2's around here.

I don't think I'm going to be getting it done any time soon unfortunately.

Just got mine done last Friday at Driven Dynamics. So far, it doesn't look like there are too many trouble spots, but I want to wait at least a week before I start making my final judgment.

Yeah, I waited a week before taking it back and talkign to Gilbert. He's cool about the whole thing. I just hope they don't scratch my glass taking the tint off. I will let you know next week.

Is it the tint or the way that the shop cleaned the windows?
I noticed that the first place that first did my tint used a green pad (abrasive) to clean the windows and it scrached the shit out of the glass. I think the BMW glass is soft compared to others?

My car is in the shop for new turbos as a result of wastegate rattle.

As soon as I get it back I'll take it back to Driven Dynamics to get 3 of the 5 windows retinted.
I don't expect there to be any issues as they seem to be very professional!

I got tint on the Mazda 3 at Driven Dynamics of Rockville last week. Gilbert did a good job on the tints and prices are very competitive. I will be going back tomorrow to have the rear window tinted to match my side windows.

do they have air condition in the waiting room yet? i remember a few years ago when i had my tint done, it was scorching in there. the fan helped some, but circulating warm air doesn't really cool you off.

NOOOOOO, or at least the cold air doesn't blow in the waiting area. I stopped by 7-11 and picked up few bottles of cold water to cool me off.

I need to find a tint shop in MD. I took my past cars to D&L mostly because they are the cheapest and actually did a good job on my past cars. But I might go someplace else this time.

What was the price at DD?

Proform is closer. Driven Dynamic is in Rockville, as you know.

I don't know the price for ceramic tints ( For the M3, you will need this) . For my Mazda 3 , I went with the cheaper metallic tint for $189.

Yeah, that's what some people say. It interferes with iDrive, the keyless entry and/or comfort access, etc. But I've never found that to be the case - and I've had Madico (non-ceramic) tint on all 3 of my e90's with no problem at all. Or at least that I could tell...
