That's what I was quoted also but that was just from the general online one. I'm hoping its not that much since I'm seeing a lot of low 2's around here.

I don't think I'm going to be getting it done any time soon unfortunately.

Yeah, I waited a week before taking it back and talkign to Gilbert. He's cool about the whole thing. I just hope they don't scratch my glass taking the tint off. I will let you know next week.

I noticed that the first place that first did my tint used a green pad (abrasive) to clean the windows and it scrached the shit out of the glass. I think the BMW glass is soft compared to others? My car is in the shop for new turbos as a result of wastegate rattle. As soon as I get it back I'll take it back to Driven Dynamics to get 3 of the 5 windows retinted. I don't expect there to be any issues as they seem to be very professional! |

I got tint on the Mazda 3 at Driven Dynamics of Rockville last week. Gilbert did a good job on the tints and prices are very competitive. I will be going back tomorrow to have the rear window tinted to match my side windows.

do they have air condition in the waiting room yet? i remember a few years ago when i had my tint done, it was scorching in there. the fan helped some, but circulating warm air doesn't really cool you off.

I think they did yes. You could also hop on the metro and got to bethesda or the mall to kill your time.

I need to find a tint shop in MD. I took my past cars to D&L mostly because they are the cheapest and actually did a good job on my past cars. But I might go someplace else this time.
What was the price at DD?

Proform is closer. Driven Dynamic is in Rockville, as you know. I don't know the price for ceramic tints ( For the M3, you will need this) . For my Mazda 3 , I went with the cheaper metallic tint for $189. |

Why do I need ceramic? For the comfort access electronics stuff? I like cheap.

Yeah, that's what some people say. It interferes with iDrive, the keyless entry and/or comfort access, etc. But I've never found that to be the case - and I've had Madico (non-ceramic) tint on all 3 of my e90's with no problem at all. Or at least that I could tell...
