This or That? 328i &335i Xdrives

Another opinion question. I'm still on the hunt for the right car for our family. We know we're having our first child in June so one vehicle will no longer cut it.

Sedan it is! My local dealership has 2 that I'm digging.

a 328 and 335 both X drives. Both are 2009's

The 328(AT) is Alpine white with beige interior (similar to baby puke...)
- premium pkg
- blue tooth
- premium sound
It's got 64k KM's on it and they're asking $24

The 335 is similar to that last car I asked the group about. It's MT (I hear that's the way to buy this car....) It's water blue ext black Int
-executive pkg
- Audiophile
It's got 84K KM on it and they are asking $22... Which is pretty low compared to some of the other 335i I see around.

I would get extended service warranty on both (it's around $3k). I've driven my share of 335's but never a 328. Is there that big of a performance difference without the Turbo's?

What do you all think? I'll try to post some pics

Drive both and decide if the extra power is a big deal to you.

If you are going to by a ext warranty and the 335i is cheaper I don't see why not... no brainer.

I would also try and find a sport package car.

no sports pkg, dont buy BMW then buy honda, those buckets sucks, i hate those seats.. thats just me,..i will never buy BMW without sport pkg

I did hear that for the 335I there is a oil cooler present on the sports PKG that isn't on the others. So if you're going to drive the car the way it was designed to be driven that's a nice feature?

You are forgetting one of the nicest pieces of the package.

The steering wheel.

You touch it every minute when driving.

The f30 328i loaner I had a few months ago had a hard skinny plastic steering wheel... the seats bottoms were also very flat.

ahhh ya, my bad I read the package options wrong, I thought the wheel only changed in the M-Sport.

I went to actually take a look yesterday and I know what you mean by the seats. They are crap. My wife's equinox has better seats.

Just to throw in my two cents, try to find a car with the factory I-Drive/Nav system and play around with it. Not sure if you are techie or care about that sort of thing but if it slightly interests you go check a car with one out. Funny thing is I've noticed at used car dealers they really don't charge much more for a loaded BMW versus a base.

These guys are right about the sport seats too, they are 10x better and always have been on any sport BMW. The adjustable bolster is my favorite part.

The only thing I wish my car would've come with was the factory oil cooler but I heard it was an additional option to the AWD "Sport" group.

Thanks for the input.

I love the tech side of things. My ideal vehicle would have the nav system. But it actually adds $3k here to the price of a car. It's unreal....

Ultimately i'd like a 2010 with Msport package and the nav but that might be a bit out of my price range at this point.
