SO i picked up a used EKPM3 module to replace my current one since Ive upgraded to a stage 2 LPFP. It came from a 2011 535i and i was wondering if coding is necessary. From what I have found, people code the new ones but since this came from another car do I have to code it?

I did code mine when I was troubleshooting some stuff, with NCS Expert. Read the online guides, it's not too hard.
It made no difference though. They are worse than the version2, they get hot, just my experience.

My FP_L fluctuates between 66-76 but sometimes drops to 63-64 after upgrading to a stage 2 LPFP and I was thinking it was a voltage problem due to the old EKPM2. I was able to pick one up for a really good price so I just thought I would swap it. If it isn't this it might be the low pressure fuel sensor but I just hope that its the EKP module.

All 35 cars run the same fuel system, the 25 and 28 cars may need the coding. I also read that a new one that was installed made no changes, or errors when not coded.
