Alton towers - busy?

Just checking if anyones been to Alton towers lately (in summer hols)?!

How busy is it?

As wouldn't mind taking the family if it's not busy but would avoid if it's business as normal with a weeks wait for each ride!!

Thanks

Was there 17/18/19 July and it was (by Alton standards) deserted.

Longest wait for a ride was 5 - 10 mins and some you could just go round and get straight back on. Smiler remains closed of course but it's still there and it seems a constant reminder to everyone. The whole place felt kind of subdued and quiet

We had bought Fastrack tickets but some fastrack entrances were not even open.

It may be different now of course during the School Hols.

If you have little ones Cbeebies is open and looked popular (but still quiet)

Have a great time if you go

Yes it was dead last week

This is peak season

Park costs a fortune to run. Expect bad accounts this year

That one accident has really hit the park hard.

It also doesn't help that a few rides have been down a lot recently. It doesn't seem to be adding to the queues elsewhere, just nobody turning up.
