Error 36c9 on my 335i

Hey guys, just bought an 335i not long ago. Now everything at first was good, but since this week when going WOT, the car will give a jerk and will throw itself in limp mode. I scanned and this are the codes that comes up:

Also at around 2-3k rpms, I have like a vacuum sound that comes up, could that be an boost leak?

If anyone could help that would be great!

Same code, with some other codes related to boost leak. I replaced the fuel pressure sensor but the error code remains. I think 36c9 is caused by boost leak. I will change pressure converter and see what happens.

Yea I might go ahead and go to an euro shop and do an boost leak test. Also I gathered a log from a pull that went in limp mode if anyone wants to give it a look .https://datazap.me/u/guibibi/36c9-lo...rk=65&hg=1-5-4

Any idle issues? Or trouble during cold starts?

NO issue on cold starts for me.

This only happens when im WOT in 3rd gear about 3000 RPM, car loses power and goes into limp mode, 36c9 is the code it throws (just as OP).

I had the same issue, took the car to a local bmw specialist and they are 90% sure it's the actuator. Getting it changed next week so will see if it fixes the problem

I just had the 36C9 death code in the middle of a busy road. What fun. No power and wouldn't come out of limp mode until it was restarted. I'm running a burger intake, VRSF Intercooler and JB4 on Map-2 with a stick turbo. I find it hard to believe I've come anywhere near the fuel volume limit.

My first thought was the JB4 messed up but after reading this and other threads.

If anyone finds a cause and/or solution please post. I'm at a loss.

I had a boost leak, get a smoke test done and it'll tell you if there's a leak anywhere

Bumping this old thread, i have the same issue. E92 n55, car runs perfectly fine except for at WOT there’s a bit of hesitation and sometimes (not always) it will go into limp mode with code 36c9.

I changed the fuel rail pressure sensor today, car still has some hesitation and I predict will re go into limp mode. No other codes.

I’m guessing it must be my hpfp? Some people said boost solenoid…any help on this would be appreciated before ai bite the bullet on a new hpfp.

Thanks
