2010 BMW 335xi

guys,
I will be checking out a 2010 BMW 335xi that i'm interested in purchasing. How would I be able to tell if this car has a premium stereo system? (ala the Logic 7). The owner has sent me the window sticker but it doesn't mention anything about premium sound. The options listed are as follows:
2010 BMW 335i xDrive Sedan
MSRP: $42,600
Black Sapphire Metallic: $550
Black Dakota Leather: Included
Cold Weather Package: $1000
Premium Package: $2650
STEPTRONIC automatic trans.: $1375
iPod and USB Adapter: $400
Satellite radio w/1 year sub.: $350
Destination Charge: $875
Total Suggested Retail Price: $49,800

Of course this is a used vehicle with 20,000 miles on it. The selling price is much less than this. I will be going to inspect it, but would like to know how I can tell if the car has a premium stereo.

I remember test driving a 2008 335i and thoroughly enjoyed the stereo on my test drive. Would definitely like that...

Any help would be awesome.
Thanks

Garage List
I don't know if there's anything printed on the unit itself but I Logic 7 allows you to play around and adjust the equalizer, something you can't do with the standard Professional stereo unit.

You could ask for the VIN and call a BMW dealer's parts department. When you give them the VIN, they should be able to tell you what sound system is installed.

It would be on the price sheet. The 2010 model cost an additional $875 for the Logic7 system. It's not showing up in the breakdown of prices, so it probably doesn't have Logic7.

If the car has a center dash speaker (square grille inbetween air vents on top of dash), it has Top-HiFi (Logic7). If it doesn't have the center grille, but it has tweeters in the sail panels (window triangles), it has HiFi. If it has no tweeters in the sail panels, it has base stereo.

Also, as pointed out above, Logic 7 will give you the option for different DSP music settings, as well as a graphic EQ.

An USA 2010 3-Series will have only two OEM sound systems from factory, Stereo (6-speakers, no OEM amp) and Logic7 (13 speakers, OEM amp).

If this car doers not have tweeters in the front doors then it has the Stereo system.

In case it's the Stereo (which i think it is ) how easy or tough is it to get it upgraded to the logic 7 system from BMW? I know I could call BMW and ask, but wanted to get a feedback from the experts first.
Is it even possible?

It is possible but it will cost you several thousands of USD in parts and labor, and still it will not be that great of an upgrade.

Thank you for the help guys... Trying to take over this guys' lease. His contractual payment is in the $800s with residual close to $24k. He's putting in an incentive to bring my payment down to $580s... Don't know if stereo should be a deal breaker or not... Suggestions?

All I can say is I had a E92 2008 and now have a 2010 E92 and the sound was so much better in the 2008 hence the missing amp and speakers. The 2010 sounds as loud as my iPod dock at home, I can literly talk over it at full volume. If you gonna listening to music fairly loud be prepared to be disappointed.

Thank you. I'm attaching an image that the seller sent me. It says, BMW Professional on it, but not sure. I have yet to see the car. Trying to see it this weekend.

The head unit doesn't tell you in any way which audio system (i.e., amp/speaker system) is downstream.

I can't see if there's a center speaker in the dash, and I can't see the tweeter location in the door. If there's no center grille and no tweeter grilles, there's no Top HiFi, so that means Base Stereo in a US 2010 non-M.

In the reflection on the windshield, it does not look like there is a center grille/speaker. So I would guess it's just base.
