Folding rear seat compatibility between e90 and e91

I've been looking for a grey leather rear folding seat for my e90 for a few months, and can't find one for love or money (ok, I could buy from the dealer, but that isn't going to happen).

So I saw a cloth set on ebay, decided I would get it, and have it trimmed in grey leather. So the seller was kind enough to sell me the rear seat separately, and I couriered it over. When it got here, I was puzzled when I saw what appeared to be latches for the folding mechanism right on the top of both sides of the seat backs. The only e90s I have seen have the latches to fold the seats in the boot. I wondered if it was some difference between pre LCI and facelift. Then it struck me that the seats are probably out of a touring.

Any idea what the compatibility is between e90 rear seats and touring rear seats. I think someone told me they are not compatible, so this has been a waste of time and money, I'm thinking.

I'd be interested to know also if someone can confirm? I could really use the folding rear seats in my E90 but they seem very hard to come by second hand, more so in alcantara to match the rest of the seats!

Some info here

One thing I found out when I went from pre LCI to LCI seats is that the clip that the rear centre belt goes into is different. So you need to swap that to an LCI one too

Yeah, but I guess I still need to figure out if the touring back seats will work before I even get to the issue of LCI or not.

I've gone over that thread like three times now, and had a chat with Bavarian Tech, who was very nice, but I can't find any place where anyone in that thread explains whether you can use the touring back seats in the saloon - can you possibly point me to it? I just read it again and can't find it!

Also interested. Can't see the base being much different? Could really do with it in my e90

The LCI seats will fit pre-LCI and vice versa, however not across model numbers. So E91 rear seats won't fit in an e90.

The side cushions are the issue, I don't know about the seat bench though, it's possible that will still fit.
