Did you drive a 110 pulley and ESS firmware before setting up 22rpd? What kind of gasoline (Ron), went on a 110 pulley?
I ride 115 pulley and 98 ron (93 ron USA)
ESS banned putting a 110mm pulley on their firmware (they said they needed better fuel)

I ran it for 1-2 years before I changed it. Fuel and header talk is bullshit, it just needs to be tuned for modifications and I been running for years now as such w 96mm and headers and new tune w/ 92 octane (most I can get here)

I would call 22 rpd, or email, ask for Zack the owner. He knowns what my original ESS tune looks like in terms of engine parameters, to be safe. But imagine it should be safe as it’s a conservative tune and I ran a far more potent tune w the smaller pulley. He lived in Europe too for a while and have good experience w the US/EURO scene so a great contact.

I understood you correctly, before turning to 22rpd. 1-2 years old, you drove the tune ESS/ 110 pulley/ 92 RON firmware yourself and everything was fine with you?

Yes that is correct, make sure you plugga and coils are good.

Lol, asking because im trying to figure out if its worth it to boost this platform or if its a better option to move up into a C63 AMG, M3, CTS-V, or RS5 (which all seem to be coming down in value right now).

Right now it seems like 400whp is at least $10-12,000 away, and more like $15,000 away all in (parts and labor) from a stock N52. Im sure this has crossed your minds... thoughts?

Valid point, I get it. I think most of us have done this in stages and therefore $ over a Vlaminck time…and surely emotionally attached, and what has changed the car completely over time. All I know is that the changes that I see in my car now since 2009 when I bought it, is very drastic and better in every aspect. Also, I personally enjoy having something that is different. And have I spent more money than the M3 of the same era would cost me, probably, but love the uniqueness and how it has all come together… and that the in-line 6 feel is totally retained with unchanged drivability is even better.

I suppose it doesn't hurt to have a supercharged RS4 kicking around for when you wanna go super fast haha. How does the modified bimmer stack up to it?

Lol, yeah that’s a fun car too. Different, but hold up ok against it. The Audi definitely more power but, enjoy the BMW just as much. Also, more of a sleeper which I also like…
