E92 328i Rear brake pad, sensor and rotors question!

Hey guys,
I was at the dealership for the engine oil service couple days ago.
My service advisor has told me that i have to replace rear brakes.

The paper says
Rear Brake Lining: L-Fail R-Fail. Pads are worn to 3mm.
Quote: Rear Brake pads, sensor and rotors
Price: $538.13

I wanted to know if that price is reasonable for replacing my rear brake at dealership. Otherwise, I would like to know about good quality brands of brake to replace by other independent shop to save money.

Thanks in advanced!

Uhm no thats a ridicculous amount of money, you can pay 100 per axle and get the parts yourself. if you dont want the fancy stuff the rotors and pads shouldnt be over 200

Wow. For some reason, I thought that $500 wasn't too bad until you told me that.
I pretty much wanted the OEM brake parts, since i like the BMW's brake.

Anyone know good brake shops that sells and/or install brakes for good price in Central Florida? Around Orlando Area.

Was that an Installed price? I am from Central Florida also, not to jack your thread, but any ideas would be appreciated!

This is my first post, so forgive the newb-ness.

It's only a brake job, I'd say grab a Bentley manual or watch a few YouTube videos, grab the parts, and set aside an hour or two to get it done.. The hardest part having never done it before would probably be bleeding the brakes afterwards, but with a friend's help you could do that in 10 minutes.. good luck man, save yourself the $400 and knock this one out yourself..

Yup i think the price included installing. But as you can see.. our mates from the forum gave us some tip. lol i would rather save money than getting that job through dealership. I will let you know if i find a good shop to get the job done.
