Great idea. I too have noticed the frequency of members reporting 320i issues. Well done for offering to help. Guys - contribute so BMW can be made aware of this - united we stand!!!

Yes, I'm always in favour of this sort of thing. Internet forums can be extremely useful for gathering evidence like this, and top marks to Tony for offering to liaise with BMW Uk .

Nice idea Tony.
We / I could sort a nice online database aka SergeiNet, onto which members could submit their data, in some pre-arranged format. eg Build date (sticker on the underside of the bonnet), history date / issue / outcome Ideally, we could knock up a 'proper' database of various issues which are a problem for US as customers- would be a UK first & could provide BMW UK with some extremely valuable data. Also, I think we need to invite Uncle Jim to one of our meets. All the best. Viv |

Thanks Tony for going to the trouble of setting up this for us 320i owners, I have emailed my not too serious problems, I am mainly concerned about the awful engine idle noise and appalling fuel consumption compared to my old 2003 E46 320i which had a wonderful 2.2L 6 Cyl engine!!

Just bought a e92 320i coupe, and have had no problems with the engine yet. (Only has 650km on though) You people are scaring me though. What is wrong ?

How's all the info coming together dude? Will I still have to revert to plan B? This entails driving my e92 INTO the stealers whilst on fire!
Only joking but I'm still not convinced with my engine seems a little flakey.
