removal of window tinting

Car has tint on front windscreen, absolute no go in Ma. and front windows might be a little to dark. How can I remove tint on windscreen and check the sides before getting a sticker?

Thanks, oh I'm in Western Ma if that helps on a shop of such.

It peels off with a little heat and then you will be left with a residue. There are plenty of methods online to remove the residue, but I've found brake cleaner to be by far the fastest method.

My first car was originally from Florida and had to remove my tint after a ticket two years later. I went to Solar Solutions in Bedford, and they removed all of it before the appeal. Then I had it redone in 35%. Great work from that shop if it's not too far for you.

Removing Tint

Buy a Garment/Clothes at one of the many places that sell them. it will make short work of your tint. Keep all the packaging and when you are done you can return it the next day.

SS FTW. Guy has been VERY reliable over the years. Have sent many people to him. Very nice guy to boot. I just googled and it is great to see him still in business.

Ill keep this guy in mind. I recently removed my windshield tint myself but the rest of the car is still blacked out. I need to get it more reasonably tinted.

Ended up using the steam cleaner method worked great and cleaned up all residue as well.
