2nd day making this manifold.

Runner 1 was hitting the block. Re adjusted it.
Runner 4 and 5 were goung to be shorter then runner 6 so I remade them.

Made runner 4, 5 and 6 the same length.
Then realised 5 was to close to block.
Remade off the block more.

Made 4, 5 and 6 equal and ready for collector and realised they all need to be 70mm shorter to make room for downpipe.

Took 2 bends off 4 and 5 runners.

Started making 3 into 1 collector. I need a bandsaw to hard by hand.

Mate, you are going to have your own equal length manifold before mine even arrives!

Made 2 collectors over 2 days.
Took me a long time doing it with a grinder but was satisfying seeing all the edges line up.

I have time today but then I have no spare time except Sundays for a while.

You would certainly require plenty of patience working on these manifolds Brule. It is difficult to determine from the photos but where the 3 pipes join in the collector, is the collector pipe a larger diameter?

Done bottom part of manifolds welded off.
Just realised the front collector needs to be changed. The downpipe will not fit if they are left as is.

Probably 5 hours work to fix it.

Needs to be angled different or closer to front of the car.

Decided to change both manifolds.
Cut them both up pretty much.

1 days work getting it back to this stage.

Worked out where the runners would go to the T4 flange which took a fair bit of work.

So this fits in on the engine without tilting the engine. Downpipe 3.5 fits maybe even 4 inch.

Still alot of work but to go but I'm glad I improved the design.

Made the top half of both banks to the T4 flange multiple times.

I made them equal and symetrical.

Then during fitting it I realised I would have to reduce the length and change positions the runners were going.

Issues was physically getting the manifold onto the head it just couldnt get past the top part of the manifold against the wheel arch area.

Both banks will need a V band join where the pipe is currently in the photos.

Overall I'm happy with the length of runners before and after both banks collectors.

I need a few parts to get it up and running.

First two photos were what I wanted but it didnt fit.

Adjusted bank 1 secondary pipe to miss cylinder 3 bottom manifold nut.

All welded up.

Waiting for V bands to complete the manifold to T4 flange.

No black heat paint in town.

So I had the option of white or aluminium colour.

All are same temp 540c rated.

Aluminium colour.
