Not so sure about the 50mpg, that's even more generous than the BMW quoted figure. As a rule of thumb the true mpg is the bmw figure -10.

Sounds like you're getting the claimed extra urban MPG on a real-world combined run. You should write to BMW and inform them that they are massively under quoting the achievable MPG!

Being auto makes it even more incredible, the quoted mpg figures for an auto box are a couple of mpg lower.

Have you verified your trip computer with an old fashioned spreadsheet detailing miles done and the fuel you put into the car?

Plus the £4-5000 Premium on top of a 330D when 1 year old isnt worth it. When there is only a £2000 premium when new.

Add on the insurance costs which seem to have gone sky high this year then the 335d doesnt look very attractive.

Not that i didnt want a 335d just that the choice was so limited and average spec of the car so poor they wasnt worth the asking price.

Also it wasnt about buying the fastest car or i would have bought a 335i.

It was a combination of things i wanted out of this car for my given circumstances.

£350 remap + Dyno for 295bhp ill take that bargain any day.
Should have bought a 330i if money is an issue. Cheap as chips and much better cars.

my 335d is going in for a remap, 350bhp, 700nm and will still do over 40mpg.

Take that over a remapped 330d any day

The 295bhp is for when i drive my 'personal' miles
my fuel is paid for on company miles so dont care how i drive the 35d, your hardly paying for any fuel yourself so why not enjoy the car all the time? Whats the point in being tight for work miles if the money isnt an issue?

its being done with autologic, my local indie is a BMW mastertech and I wanted someone close by in case of any issues, plus he knows my car inside and out.

Will run a full diagnostics on the car, update the software to the latest version and then lift the map from my car and send to autologic for tuning. He will put on the car and run it and check for any issues and send back if any fine tuning needs to be made.

Expecting around 340-350bhp and ~700nm

70mph on the motorway makes me £100 a month just on the fuel.

Dont get my wrong, i enjoy the car as much as i can

But that £100 buys me ALOT of free fun
but stone chips are going to happen whatever speed you are travelling at and you can just as easy lose your licence on one of your free fun days. May aswell enjoy your car all the time
