I was inspired by tetsuo111 (again) when he added the M3 front stiffening plate to his E91. Unfortunately there are a couple caveats with the M3 plate:

1. The M3 plate replaces the stock subframe to unibody brace, so you have to come up with a custom solution like tetsuo has
2. You cannot run the stock underbody panels with the M3 plate

So my solution was to keep the stock brace and add bracing to mimic the front half of the M3 plate, which reinforces the tension strut and wishbone mounts:

I didn't expect much but the bracing has helped stiffen the front end which feels even more solid and planted now. The car feels more responsive to steering inputs and surprisingly NVH seems to have decreased. The additional bracing does not interfere with anything and I was able to use all my underbody panels.

Feel free to check out my garage for the rest of my suspension upgrades.

Parts needed:
- 4x M10 rivnuts (07147199279) to mount the braces to your subframe
- 4x M10 bolts (at least 33mm plus the thickness of your braces)
- 2x 16" metal stock of your choice for the braces

Took it to the dealer yesterday for a failing hpfp, had the 2FCA shadow codes and 2b2c high pressure cold start code that I cleared, it still should be in the history though. The car has a rough cold start and I had throttle closures once on the highway, oil kinda smelled like fuel to me. But today they called and said they can't find anything wrong with the car and want me to pick it up and pay the diag fee. Any advice before I go there and try to argue with them? Im covered under the extended warranty btw.

Fixed waterpump and thermostat... THEN find a leak inside the cabin and cant pin what it is.. thinking it might be the blower motor hopefully this recall fixes that.

They don't replace the blower motor/etc., only wiring.

Is this Plug and Play with a car that has factory adaptive headlights?

Does anything else need to be changed or coded?

Where did you get your LCI headlights?

No. I had pre lci halogen and put in lci halogens. That is all I did. I have to mess with some coding to get them how I like.

I got the headlights from a forum member almost a year ago

If you cleared the shadow codes and they didn't come back, they're just going to try and say nothing is wrong. I would let them know that you legitimately had issues, and try to settle on some sort of agreement that if they appear again you will be back soon. Maybe a couple starts in their parking lot? Lol

Heard a metalic rattle from what sounded like the back of the car. Read up on here about common problems and found out the exhaust flap is notorious for failing with a similar sound. Checked it out and it had been zip tied open by the previous owner. Cut that shit off and unplugged the module in the trunk. Took it for a short drive and seems to be fixed, will have to listen carefully over the next few days.

Put insulation on the inside of the door panels for better acoustics. I really can't believe the difference it makes. All I can say is WOW.

I bought a box of 80mm automotive door insulation which is specific for acoustic enhancement.

I used the video on YouTube made by Bav Sound for the e90.

The name of the product is Noico; it costs $65.00 for a box of 80mm thick insulation. 36 square feet. It's rated 5 stars on Amazon with almost 600 reviews.

Finished up the interior trim carbon wrap. Had to wait to get more wrap since I wanted the carbon to flow in the same directional pattern on the dash and center console. Will take pics of the interior when installed.

Too bad you didn't read the DIY's on here before taking it to the mechanic. All that stuff is crazy simple to do yourself and you probably would save a thousand dollars in labor. The DIY section on here is your friend, thats where I would start.
