If you're a real bargain Hunter wait until the Bathurst v8 supercar weekend, SCA always seem to have castrol edge 5L for $29.99!

yeah correct, I went with my wife and got 4 bottles, got my old man and mum to get 2 each and ended up with 40L to do their cars with

I think I'm down to about 7-8L now, so may buy a few more this year

The special sale $29.99 DrJ mentioned should be around Dec by memory.

$34/5L now, good enough if anyone don't want the "limited by 2 bottles per person" hassle.

Last year when I went to SCA, soon after I grabbed the last 2 bottles, someone came and looked for the product. Lucky me.
And SCA doesn't seem to restock over that 1-2 days promotion weekend.

Having said that, I will still try my luck again when the $29.99 promotion is on.

v8 supercars at Bathurst is always on in October.

It was actually $27.49 last time I bought it in 2014!

Yeah I got there when it opened and there was about 6 bottles each of 5w30 and 5w40 left remaining on the shelf.

it'll be fine. they would be pretty similar in the real world. no real need for a 0w here though.

0w40 oils (as opppsed to 5w40 oils) tend to be the thinner w40 oils. this isn't necessarily a bad thing as the bmw preferred/recommended grade is 5w30. I personally run 5w40. more then thin enough for Australian climate when cold and should give me that bit of extra protection on track.
