Game on. Bitches.

Now then,

As some of you will know I have been questing to get a new car for a while, for various reasons that you can see elsewhere, I might still keep the BM, or I might not!!

If I dont however, I need options and we have discussed before what kind of car I am looking for.

I want something which I can get free fuel from work for, which means I need to achieve 25 mpg at worst (well, book figures anyway.)

So far, I have applications in for the Audi RS4 which does about 22-23 so they are considering the application, and the Boxster S 3.4 which does 30 ish by the book.

Now, I just had news back today that the RS4 was turned down on grounds of MPG which is fair enough, sort of.... but the Boxster S was turned down on the grounds that its 'not fit for purpose'

This has irked me somewhat, and as I report to a director I have challenged it so I may yet get approval for that.... the grounds are that a two seater is not suitable for my presales consultancy job which involves no ferrying of customers (we have courtesy services for that) and I dont carry equipment.

I'm thinking about pushing the boat out to pi$$ work off as far as possible within the rules they have set, which are effectively.... 4 seats and 25mpg.

Whats the fastest, most offensive way I can get from A-B whilst adhering to those rules that you can think of?

Oh, cars which begin slow but end up fast with superchargers etc are acceptable... I was thinking E46 M3 cab with supercharger.... but although in reality they do 26 - 27 mpg, the book is much lower.

An E90 M3 is now falling just into the top of my budget at around 35k but they do 23...

Come on guys, help me out - fight the man!!!!

Matt

I think he wants a bit of excitment in his life though.......

Back OT, the RS4 is never 22/23, mine averaged 16 for the 7 months I had it!

Get meeeeeeeee. That reverse light in the rear light cluster does not look so dumb as it does on darker cars. Still would blackline it out and get some black grilles on it. Then a vinyl overlay on the roof.

ive hardly been in the car much this year but i still feel the need for a greater 'sense of occassion' everytime i jump in it. thats why last night i joined the CSL register looking for more info and toying with the idea... however i cant help but feel its a step down because of how old the e46 is getting, how slow performance wise they are compared to kick of my tune on the 335i and how they got fack all tech inside them. i mean at least cud do with bluetooth and decent ipod interface etc etc. then again it wud not be a 'CSL'.

main reason for the CSL is that due to my extremely limited mileage i wont further devalue the car plus it wil ultimately be a keeper as part of a collection finding a true virgin one isnt easy tho!

Sup Kinesh. CSL is a step down in technology, but I doubt in driving pleasure.

It makes driving a thirsty car so much better when you don't pay for the juice
