Hi.
Few months ago I've retrofitted in my 2009 e91 combox media instead TCU, everthing works perfectly. I have oem CiC in my car. Now I'm trying to fit Combox Telematics instead of media. I've bought used part with producion date 09.2014 and number 9 257 161-03 and have a problem. Of course I've done the wireing ( change power to pin 2 and all necessary with can fom PDC ). Then I've add assist related fa to VO and recode cic, but I can't read or write MEDIA module at all INPA also can"t see a new combox. MOST wire is glowing red and if I press the S.O.S button combox is making a call so i think there is power supply. Does anyone have a clue what I need to do to make it work? NCS have v58 SP DATEN.
What difference is between 9257161-01 and 9257161-03 ? Maybe combox is too new? Of course it is bn2000 so it should fit.

This is my FA:
PHP Code:
E91_#1114&EBAT%0A52*UX31$1CA$1CB$1CC$1CD$216$230$258$2SX$302$320$321$386$402$417$423$428$430$431$464$494$4AE$4CG$502$508$521$522$524$534$540$548$563$5AC$609$612$614$615$616$620$633$698$6AA$6AB$6AK$6AL$6AM$6FL$6NR$6VC$7RS$7SP$801$851$863$879$8SX$9AA-A090+KEPS

Any suggestions?
Do I need power on both pins 1 and 2?
Maybe CIC firmwere is to old to comunicate with combox. I have C1A but from 03/11. I've tried two different comboxes 9257161-03 and the same issue. 9257160-01 media works fine. INPA found new module: FBI 9257166 with same production date as new combox.

Hi, tried to message makkan00 but your inbox is full.

I have a 2008 LCI 335D E90. It has the big screen sat nav. I was wondering if it is possible to retrofit DAB and Bluetooth audio.

Thank you

you will not get bluetooth streaming without cic idrive
but you can have usb audio with mulf2high and add bluetooth streaming using tune2air

I already tried usb with mulfHI but no matter what I do it doesn't show in the Radio, and if I plug something in usb post gets power for just 1s. Idk if mulf is bad or because I don't have usb in radio.

do you have usb menu in audio sources ?
if not please try to code again
select expert profile
do not add or use any fsw_psw manipulation options
bump zeitkriterium to 0307
add 6fl option
and perform sg_codieren job on RAD and MULF2high
after that perform sg_reset job on these modules and show me what picture will be on radio screen

I have CIC nav in my LCI car. No combox though and no postcode entry for nav. The car has DAB, bluetooth, etc. Any idea on the costs for fitting combox and updating everything? Would I be as well to go NBT? Not sure if that is possible either!

What year maps have you got? Usually full post code requires a firmware update on a newer I level. I think this is best done at the dealers as it takes hours to do and they usually have a fixed price rather than a hourly price.

Some independants can do it but they all quoted me by the hour.

Combox retrofit is quite straight forward as long as you can do coding by NCSexpert. Most places seem to charge around £300+ for this. I did it myself for a 1/3 of this price.

What do you ask for at the main dealer?
I asked for a firmware update and they told me it can't be done.

I'll check the map year, but likely to be early 2009. I'm completely talent less when it comes to coding etc, but could buy a combox and probably fit it. That's about all. Would certainly need someone who knows what they're doing for the coding.

If 2009 then I would update the maps first. When viewing your map, the black circle in the bottom corner, does that have an 'i' symbol in it?

Or is it empty like in this pic?

Hi Matt have you tried entering a postcode on the address search? I've got a very early lci e91 that had never had the cic updated and was running 2008 maps and I didn't think mine had postcode search, I went to get my cic firmware updated and the guy entered a postcode And it worked without being updated so I never bothered,
Sorry if you have already tried but there is no section to enter a postcode just enter it in the address field, worked for me anyway

But did you have full 7 digit post code? All nav systems even the old CCC had post code, but only the first 3 digits.
