Not so technical question...

Hi all
What is the safest, best practise way to drill a number plate?
Ta! 😳

Garage List
Stick some masking tape where you need the holes, mark out the centres then drill through with a 2/3mm pilot bit & then enlarge holes with the appropriate size bit to suit your fixings.
How's it going with the 235? Would be nice to see some pics

Don't.

Get some 3M Duallock Velcro and attach them that way.

Picked her up on Friday... what a motor. Still getting used to it, but it was definitely the right choice.
I'll put some more pics up later on the week.
I loved the 330d, but I'm already taking longer routes home just so I can drive the car for longer. Just wow!

Very nice.
How is it for legroom? I've driven a 1 series & a e86 Z4 & found my knee was touching the underside of dash. I'm 6ft & they both felt a bit cramped.

Ta!
Although I am a short arse, both my wife and I commented straight away how much more spacious the car seems up front. This includes the old 130i I used to have which did seem narrow at the front even for me.
And the seats are SO comfy...
Digitalize: I was simply going to use the old plates as a template to drill the new ones, so will probably do that rather than Velcro, thanks for the suggestion though.
👍
