Unhappy E92 335i Headgasket

hello everyone,
i have e92 335i 2008, recently i had a coolantleaking from the headgasket to the floor not internally.
a week after replacing the headgasket which was toasted, everything was fine until i started get oil level low warning and low coolant warning, engine fault and started to hear a loud noise from the engine, however no overheating.
i opened the oil filler to see there's coolant in it, now im thinking that the headgasket is not
installed properly or the head itself have crack or something, the garage
told me that the head was already checked and its in perfect condition and
the headgasket is new and cannot be misinstalled.
he is telling me that it could be the oil housing is leaking from inside , not
the oil filter housing gasket or the headgasket.
can anyone explain what could it be ?

i've already checked the engine block for cracks and found none, the noise turned out to be the bearings of the crankshaft are gone and need to be replaced.

Thanks

yep most definitely could be the ofhg.
I've never even heard of a head gasket fail on a n54. with the crank/main bearing shot who knows what else is shot. Sounds like a ticking timebomb/money pit.

how long have you had the car? was it ever overheated ?

It's very possible that one or both of the gaskets at the OFHG are bad. However, even if you get them fixed, the engine might already have sustained other serious damage, above and beyond just the bearings.

A new engine is too expensive. A used engine is a gamble. A built engine by Motiv or ABR if you want to push beyond 600whp.

i've owned the car since 2 years now,i had only "regular" problems (water pump, injectors, coils, spark plugs, radiator, fuel pump).
i bought it used now its 90K miles.

it turned out that the headgasket was replaced by the previous owner of the car and it wasn't genuine , the engine was already opened too!! (as the garage guy told me).
can't tell these when you purchase a used car anyway.
my luck!

now after removing the engine and having to replace the crankshaft bearings, i'm going to do the following: (almost an Engine rebuild )
  • install new cylinder sleeves
  • line boring
  • new piston rings
  • piston bearings
  • valve stem seals
its my only option since no way i can buy a new engine, and as you said a used engine is a gamble.

here's some pictures:

Head Finished

Block refreshed

any advices to take into consideration during this fuckedup situation
