Man, I love this car. Space Grey is so me.

For me, The E92 known internally as Projekt MB destroys me as much as its namesake.

Ok, I'll admit it.

I love the styling of this car.
Now I understand what all the fuss is about.

Car looks incredible, its perfect almost! Cant wait to start reading the reviews on it, hope the handling on it is typical high BMW level of handling.

Makes me REALLY happy I didnt buy a used 2005 M3 ZCP about 3 months ago, too. About 30 less hp than a 2006 M3 but 40 MORE lbs of torque over the 2006 M3. Site says 0-60 in 5.3, but BMW is always a little conservative, I bet it does 5.1 no problem, maybe 5.0 if we're lucky. Plus the tuners should have a field day with this setup. A simple ECU chip should bring some pretty cheap horsepower.

Lastly, I noticed this:

2006 BMW 330i E46 coupe
Exterior Length: 176.7 in.
Width: 69.2 in.
Height: 53.9 in.
Wheel Base: 107.3 in.
Curb Weight: 3285 lbs.

2007 BMW 335i E92 coupe
Exterior Length (inches) 181.1 (4.4 inches longer than the E46)
Width (inches) 70.2 (1 inch longer than the E46)
Height, unloaded (inches) 54.1 (.2 inches taller than the E46)
Wheelbase (inches) 108.7 (1.4 inches longer than the E46)
Unladen weight (lbs) 3351 (66 lbs heavier than the E46)

I like that it's almost 4 1/2 inches longer, that means a little more space for people both in the front seat and in the back. I also like that its a 4 seater. Id rather have 4 people sit comfortably than 5 people with 3 of them smashed up in the back seat. Plus the rear seat foot-level lighting is cool, as is the seperate air conditioner vents for each person in the back seat. Its more like "personalized service for 4".

My biggest debate now is just color and options. I hope iDrive is improved, I've never used it, but read lots of complaints when it came out. I'm kind of a techie/gadget kind of guy though, so I think I'll get it anyway. Also, those corona light rings built in to the headlights.... those are sort of like built-in angel eyes, huh? I really like that feature, one less thing I would have to swap out!

As long as they don't overprice this car, then KUDOS to BMW, you've just sold your 3rd BMW to me in the last 8 years, and I'll proudly be renewing my BMWCCA membership.

So
E90 330i SE £29,170
E92 335i SE £33,420

= 14,6% increase

Using same numbers

USA E90 330i =$36,600
USA E92 335i = $41,943

The seatbelts are finally colour matching to the interior colour now. Looks like BMW listened to us. This and the oil temp gauge, LED tail lights, angle eyes for DRLs for example. But I am a bit disappointed to see the fuel consumption gauge not being implemented now.

Oil temp is for Turbos, dont think the others will have it

Not the whole tailight is LED, only the 3 stripes

Love the new light grey color. That's the exact color I wish had been available on the E90/E91.

Yep just seen WhatCar and now WorldCarFans.

"Other engine derivatives start production in September to broaden the 3 Series Coupé range."

It says at WorldCarFans.com that the 330i Coupe will begin production in September. If this is so, then how comes the first engines out will be the 325i and 335i, as they themselves will be released in September when the car is launched. Strange.

Huge price increase. I like to spec my cars up to the maximum, so a fully spec'd 325i would cost me around £45,000! A 335i would therefore be almost £50,000!! Way too much. Ideally I'd like to order from Germany and haggle a tidy 14% discount as I've done in the past

So when will the 330i actually be available then?

Looks good.

I like the:
interior chrome touches.
new rear
new color
Halo's as DRL

Wish they would have kept the original 330 and 335 titles....

So whats a fully loaded 335 going to cost me, to the options in my sig?

Well there is a company called BMW Buyers who import BMW's from Germany at a huge saving. The car is sent to a UK dealership who then prep it ready for collection. Personally I would prefer to collect the car from Germany and drive it back home!

Get in touch with the guys at BMWBuyers.co.uk and see what they would suggest. Tell them Sinister DJ recommended you They don't deal with US customers as far as I am aware, but I'm sure that they can think of something if they want to make a sale. And if no go, then try calling a German dealership directly and place an order with them.
