Facelifted E90 offsets

I understand that the tracking on the facelifted E90 is wider than the original cars. Does anyone know how much wider the front and rear track is and what offset wheels should be used (I think the 33 and 35 offset is the most popular for the original E90).

speaking of which, I know everyone calls the new E90/91 "LCI" but I always wondered what LCI stood for.

The track on the LCI is 8 MM wider than previous E90's

LCI stands for Life Cycle Impulse (i.e. facelift)

The LCI e90/91 has 8mm wider track on each side, and no change in the front.

Was the difference in track made by simply changing the wheel offsets?

No, it's still ET34 on the OEM 17x8 and 18x8 wheels.

remmib is right about the wheel offsets being the same, but I'd still like to know where the 3mm change has been made on the front of my 325i LCI.

It hasn't, my bad, I just found out that the LCI models that comes with 16" as standard wheels is ET31, not ET34. So there's the 3mm difference.

Hi Remmib, Thanks for following up. I also read somewhere about ET31 standard 16" wheels (outside US) for LCI, so I assumed this was the cause for the change in listed specs.

I understand the LCI 8mm widened rear track is due to the updated rear hub carriers.

pre-facelift = ET-35/40 * = f/r

post-facelift = ET-35/30 = fr/rr

* more of the "tucked" look than the "to-the-edge" look... Less chance of rubbing

You'll want to run a slightly more conservative fitment on the LCI. The Non-LCI fitment would be a 9.5 +33 while the LCI would require an offset about 3-5mm higher. Tire sizes can still remain the same.

From reading the forums I'd say ET35 to ET42 is generallly safe range 9.5" rears on the E90 LCI facelift sedans.

ET28 to ET35 was more suited to Pre-Facelift E90 sedan. (Thats is 7-8mm more agressive offset).

There are probably some wide fitting 265mm tires that may have rubbing at ET35 on the E90 LCI, so the tyre brand is always a variable.

For the front, ET32-ET35 is safe on both Pre-LCI and LCI. I have ET32 on the front of my LCI and I think it is perfect.

19x9.5 +33 is Pre-LCI fitment. +33 is too aggressive on a LCI and will require some fender rolling if you plan on running the same fitment.

Sorry to bump an old thread but what offset would the wheel guys recommend for an LCI sedan that wants to run a 275/30/19 tire in the rear?

My car has stock suspension and Im undecided if I will lower it. So I guess something that will be safe if lowered maybe an inch or so, and yes I would roll the fenders if needed. I just want a nice flush look, I hate the sunken in look that most stock wheels give.

I'm going to try a 275/30 on my car with a 19x9.5 wheel, 42 offset. Was thinking of a 10mm spacer though... I don't want to fender roll or do camber adjustment.

Well I have seen pics of ET45 on the rear with 275 michelin pilot sport a/s which are a very wide tire and it still seemed a tad inset. It wasn't bad but I just didn't know how far we could go before modifications were needed. I will probably be going with a Nitto Invo tire for reference.

Could you possibly take some pics from the rear angle?
