New to the game
Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. Picked up my first BMW ever a few days ago, 2008 335xi e90 sedan, and I gotta say I'm in love. A few quirks here and there, but expected in a used car.

New to the game
Sheff335, Welcome to the family my friend. I am in the same boat as you. I bought my first BMW (2009 335i E90 Sedan) myself at the end of Jan. I have loved every single day since I made that purchase. This forum is a wealth of information and filled with some funny back and forth "conversations". Some threads will scare you as you scroll down but naturally a couple replies down you will get someone who swoops in and tells you everyone is wrong and they are 200k miles with no major issues. You'll have to post some pictures of you new baby to share with the group.

Hi welcome I also have a 08 335xi but a E92. Love this car, there is a lot of maintenance above the 50K mark but the entry price for a car like this is so low just have to factor in as total cost to own and realy can't think of another 9/10 year old car I could buy with this performance, looks and and creature comforts at the same cost.

Congrats! Enjoy that ultimate driving machine.
As what hawkinsblake90 mentioned, don’t panic or be spooked by all the problem posts to see. When you go on sites like this, or other similar sites, the majority of the threads/posts you read about are problems, problems, problems, problems, problems,.....because when there are no problems there's nothing to talk about. Therefore, it makes you think that every 335 is a problem plagued repair laden money pit wallet draining financial disaster that's just waiting for you. There are bad apples from the factory, but they represent only a small percentage of the total models built. Aside from the typical wear and tear things that go with age, most 335s (and other 3-series) are problem free. If you maintain it properly, and don’t beat on it, it will be as reliable for however long you plan to own it. I bought my 2010 E92 335i new and this is my first ever BMW. I still own it and haven't had any major mechanical or electrical problems with it whatsoever.
