Exhaust/Intake?
I have decided to not go with the Dinan upgrade after reading through the forum about how many people say that they only really feel the difference in the higher RPM's. Soooooo my question is should I install cold air intake prior to Borla exhaust? Does it really matter which one I decide to go with first? I can only afford 1 at a time right now. ANY INPUT???

Intake is not necessary on stock tune.
Borla axleback will give you about 10 hp and a nice deeper sound. Save the money on the intake unless you go with an aggressive tune. Plus dealers won't care much about an axleback exhaust warranty wise but intakes are always a bit sketchy in that regard |

Again, CAI not really needed on basic tunes.
You'll only see minimum hp gains from them on tunes making less than 350 rwhp on dynojets. A drop in filter alone seems to give 1-3 rwhp and would be a better choice unless you plan on going with a more aggressive tune than SSTT, JB2, etc. Plus again, a CAI can, and will draw negative attention from some (though not most) dealer service people. And COULD be used as a warranty voiding component. Technically so could a drop in filter, but I don't know of a single dealer from ANY manufacturer who has voided a warranty for a drop in. CAI just not worth the hassle/cost for a few ponies gain on a car without an aggressive tune. |

I'd like to know if exhaust could be a cause to void warranty as well. As I got rear ended and am looking to replace to aftermarket exhaust instead of oem replacement...
