AST needs 5 sets to roll out the BMW kits.
Harold, any news on the 4150's? Still interested.

AST USA wants a minimum of 5 orders to bring them into the US.

We do not have a distributor in Sweden for AST and I wonder if you could sell me the kit? Shipped directly from AST in Holland/EU possible? Price incl. spring and adjustable top mounts? Contacted AST directly today but have not heard from them yet. With that said I would really like to support you as I am already a happy customer of yours.

A good value in coilovers at entry level is the Koni based single adjustable coil overs:

If you are after a montube technology like the AST, Ohlins R&T is excellent:

Thanks for the response. I think i need to learn some more. I know id like a susp upgrade but dont know how far to go, what the impacts are of some of the extras the everybody seems to do, etc.

I know i want this much:

LSD (quaife)
BMW PS or better koni/tck/swift? (coming from base)

Extras?
M3 bits? RSB, cntl arms, bushings etc.

Can you or anyone point me to a primer on where to learn? What things should be done with others as opposed to what things i can delay?

Thanks!

There are many threads so you have to search.

The one thing you can do to improve the handling of the vehicle the most is still a high quality coilover kit, there is no question about that.

After that I would do the M3 front control arms, rear subframe bushings and LSD in no particular order depends on what chassis shortcomings you want to address first.

I ordered a set of 4150s through AST Finland in November. They were manufactured and shipped from Holland yesterday. So they have production, although limited.

I'll let you know my thoughts in May when the season starts around here.

AST USA's contract with AST Holland ended in 2013 so we will not see AST products for a while.
