What will fit on my car?

I have a 335i sedan being delivered end of november and I was hoping to put
19 x 10's rear and 19x 8.5's front with 275/30/19 rear tires and 245/35/19 up front. with offset's of 38 rear and 40 front.

After reading other posts it looks like other are going 265 rears and 235 fronts but no one's going bigger than that? Let me know what you pro's think.

Also, my BMW salesman said that he doesn't recommend changing tires rims unless there the same size because it effects the drivability. I figured he know's about as much about cars as most salesman know about there product so I didn't take it that serously. Any comments on that?

Most common is 235 and 265, but I know there are members who are running 245 and 275. The front can be close to the strut side. Rear are very close to stock offset, so they fits.

I have 245/275, no problems. ET40 front and ET35 rear.

ET35 would probably be ideal in the front as well, but I didn't have that option (and don't want to use 5mm spacers).
