335i Purchase this Friday, Good Deal?

So im going in on Friday to this dealership to check out this 2008 335i

http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/bmw-335-cars340002174

From what i can see it definetly has the options im interested in

6mt
Montego Blue
Saddle Brown Int
Navi

Those were my main wants. What i DONT know is, in the add it says fully loaded, so does it have Parking Sensors too? And what kinda speakers cuz in the add it says Harmon Kardon..i thought they went Logic7 for this car? Some of the specs just dont add up, unless im retarded ( quite possible ) ..

Anyways im gonna try and negotiate $26,000 OTD , i'll be financing it but putting down a HUGE down payment ( $8000 down ) .. Do you guys think that'll work in my favor?

Also, i've read ( ALOT ) on here that since it's not a BMW dealership the car wont be CPO'd ... i've also read that there's not direct way to have the car CPO'd ..just wanna verify im correct. Only way basically to get an extended warranty is to HOPE the HPFP Fails enough that i can make a rant.

Thanks in advance!!

I highly doubt you'll get them to come down 3 grand on that price unless you're bringing a gun with you.

You're correct in assuming that it's not CPO'd since only BMW dealerships can do it. The good news is you can buy a CPO warranty from BMW, provided the car passes the CPO inspection. The price is negotiable but plan on spending $2k+. Even if you don't get the extended warranty the HPFP is covered under the factory warranty for 10yrs/120k miles due to all the problems it has.

Good luck with the purchase! I just went through it myself and it's totally worth all the pain and suffering, love this freaking car!

GL with the purchase. Is it safe to say that you checked the car out via carfax, autocheck, etc ?

I thought the only way to do that is if the car is purchased from a BMW dealership and you pay them to CPO it or get that included in the price. I dont think you can take a car from any joe blow car lot to your bmw dealership and have them CPO it.

This is true. You can't just take a car and get it 'cpo'd. However you can purchase a whole host of different extended warranties that will mirror the coverage of cpo cars. They range from $1800 - 3500 depending on how long you want to extend cov'g and if you want maintainence too. Hence you can have even better than cpo if you want with more cov'g!

Also I would be very weary of those types of dealers. Yes, they have decent deals but they are all shady. Just my .02

yes i assumed getting them to come down on an already good price would be a dream. if they do 28k OTD i'll definetly take it.

So i can go to a BMW dealer after the fact and purchase extended warranty/maintanence through them ..that's definetly a go.

I checked the car out in Autocheck and Carfax too.. Just gotta check it out in real life this friday.

Alright guys, ive decided to head a different route. I see a 335i Montego blue CPO at JMK BMW in Springfield NJ. How much do you think they'd be negotiable on the price?
Link to car: http://jmkbmw.com/preowned-certified...48P156482.aspx

It's basically fully loaded, even parking sensors. Im trying to get like 28k plus taxes title etc..

Also what " fee's " should i avoid being tricked into paying?

Its listed at $34,995 and you're gonna try and offer $28k? I don't see that happening, you might be able to get $32-33k maybe.

First of all the guys at the dealership act like they are selling Bugatti Veyron's. Very stuck up, no sense of humor.

You will most likely speak to a guy name Artus Youman. Go on edmunds and price the car out to the T. You can go about 1-2k under the price that they give you on edmunds for your OUT THE DOOR price. The dealership has it fees but when you price a car you tell them specifically to give you the OUT THE DOOR price before financing. If you have good credit there is no need to put 8k down, use that towards your payments. MAKE SURE ITS CPO'ED! All dealerships pay for CPO certification by BMW if they think its worth it because they can sell the car for more. If its not CPO'ed then its for a reason.

BTW there are a million 335's out there dont just settle for this one because you are impatient, go to cars.com check out the inventory across the US for pricing estimates.

Speaking from experience

Auction prices on 08 coupe with 35k miles are in the $25-27k range. $35k is a pretty big markup even for a CPO car with that mileage. $28-29k is a good price, $30-31k is the most I'd pay for a similar car too. Call me cheap.

KGB - Yes, the most im trying to pay is 31k Plus taxes, titles, etc..and i fel that is worth it, the car was off-lease, and in PERFECT condition ( i checked it out..it really is perfect )..but yea

Fruition - Im actually dealing with Antonio, and the sales manager sal gerbiono ..they figure " oh kid has mad money to put down we can mark the car up.. " but that aint bout to happen.

goldenz - call me cheap too..lmao!

So, i definetly dont wanna buy a car if it's non-CPO correct? becaaaaaaaause i JUST saw this

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...e&aff=national

I could probably get that to about 31k OTD, and then go to BMW and get an extended warranty through them..MAYBE..i'll have to do some HEAVY investigating with what went on with that car..from just looking at it, im expecting to open up that ECU box and see a JB3 or somethin, lol.. plus im not feelin the rear bumper too much or that steering wheel ( never saw that before ? )

Sigh..the search goes on..if anything i'll use that other car as a bargaining chip to get more off the one i want.

That xi is nice...I'd be worried about how the guy drove it with the mods and only 10k of warranty left (if it's even still valid). Probably tuned like you said. Might be able to use that to your advantage in negotiating though.

The car is definitely nice. But you're talking 35k, 37k after taxes are included. You're planning on asking the dealership to drop 9k off the price - not too sure how far you will get with that. @ 28k, you might be able to find an 07 with sports package and decent miles.

Ohh noo you may misunderstood my post. Realistically, JMK wants 35k+ taxes etc..i want 31k plus taxes etc..

i was just saying the 28k so they would go lower in price..NEGOTIATING..lowball and move up from there, lol..
