I don't have an Auto but I would assume you have to do the run in M mode, go WOT and not click that thing (not sure what to call it lol)

You can feel as it hits just before the kick down switch, just press to there and you will be fine. That is about as WOT as you can go.

I'm not sure what the right percentage is, but what he meant was that click does not affect the throttle

Just installed v401 vs v301 and it feels great. Feels like peak hp may be a bit better, but more importantly, it doesn't drop off like it felt like with v301.
Would love to see a dyno comparison of v301 vs. v401 vs. v401 + FMIC Also makes me wonder if replacing the diverter valves would be a worthwhile? Had the Bosch spring ones replaced in my Cayenne turbo for piston one's and it made the engine hold boost longer and recover much faster. Thinking with the increased boost, the stockers could be getting close to their limit. |

Here is the dyno all Testing included the ETS 5" IC...
The strange thing is that I made less power on more boost in the high rpms. Cobb doesn't have an explanation for this, after examining the logs they say nothing is wrong with my car but something has to account for this. http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1333209880 Last edited by Dr_Dirt; 03-31-2012 at 11:25 AM.. |

V401 is more aggressive than V400. I used to peak at about 17.8psi consistantly on V400, on V401 I'm back up to ~18.5psi(where I was on V301.) I'm not sure about timing yet, I haven't looked at the logs yet.
I'll get some more logging done and post up some virtual dynos later today(probably tonight.) |

I just recently put on fmic from ets and also added the ets charge pipe w/ tial bov. Thanks Michael for awesome support. I ran a data log and submitted it to cobb when i was on v400 and they said my car was happy with this map (stage 2+ fmic, sport stock throttle). I switched over to v401 couple days ago and last night my car felt so smooth and felt gobs of power at every gear. I am def happy about my car's transformation. Keep it up Cobb.
P.S. My bmw tech who installed everything also said he loves this tune, its the best he's driven by far. And my SA is jealous too |

Switched to 4.01 yesterday, I was getting timing drops down to 0 mid pull and it looks like they are gone. Anything look out of the ordinary?

I tried stage 2+ aggressive v400 when it first came out. Definetly felt smoother but also was slower than v301 according to my 1/4 times using the ap. Switched back to v301 and haven't bothered trying v401.

I just say i ran about 6 months a different remap giving 360 hp 480nm on my automatic ok,not single error. After Stage2+FMIC Sport map,the HPFP just died within first time of full throttle acceleration. This week HPFP was replaced and so far so good i understand that of course with the change from about 360 to about 420hp? crank and 480nm to over 500nm? takes more from fuel pump and thats maybe the reason it died. (cannot think any other reason) |

Sorry if this is a noob question and I have tried searching the topic as well but maybe someone can help me with this.
I have a 2008 335i, n54 motor gulf spec (from Qatar). Installed the COBB AP last night and set it on Stg1 Aggressive I8A0S (Linear Throttle) map and took it out for a test drive. I should add the car is completely stock. Started off giving it about 40% throttle and increased as the car warmed up but as I got into higher revs the car started to shudder and as i gave it less throttle it would get smoother. Gave it more throttle again and the shudder would return and got worse to the point where I pulled over to the shoulder to change to the stock like Stage 0 map. The car was shaky during idle as well. I have to say this scared the crap out of me because I thought I had messed something up. The car threw a code but for the life of me I cant remember what it is now (something valve [lambda probe] something) so that might not help. I have since had the car in Stg1 Drive map and it is running much smoother but when i give it more than 70% throttle it shudders slightly so haven't been pushing it much. I will try driving it in the Stg1 Sport/Aggressive maps again later today to see what codes it throws. If anyone can tell me what the problem might be and how I can resolve this issue it would help greatly. Thanks!
