inpa in VM on touchbar macbook pro

Has anyone been able to run an INPA in virtual machine on the latest touchbar equipped macbook pros? I was able to set it up and run it very easily on 2014 MBP, however, it freezes or becomes very slow when running with any Windows OSes (XP, 7 and 10) with the same virtualization software (VirtualBox) on 2019 MBP. The only difference is I have to connect the INPA cable via usb 2 to usb c adapter with 2019 mbp. Has anyone ran into the same issue and been able to solve it?

Somehow, I got it to work acceptably. Downloaded Win10 dev image for VirtualBox from the MS and installed Bimmergeeks standard tools. Can share more details if anyone's interested.
