Work on the car has slowed now that I'm back at work and only abke to spend time on it after work.
Todays main effort was to do 1 side of the exhaust mod I'm using muffler bandage to cover up the perforated sections Oh and my RB outlets arrived but I need to tell Rob that it won't fit my 7" VRSF FMIC : I'm sure he'll sort it for me |

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ike+PE+exhaust Although it was over a year ago..... They replaced the perforated pipe with solid pieces in that thread, looked a bit complicated to me so I've simply wrapped them in muffler bandage And I can make the outlets fit, will just need a coupling so I can reuse the pipe supplied with the FMIC, seems a shame to cut Robs nice pipe though...need to check with him the best way to do it before I take to them with a knife Last edited by Hoper; 01-04-2017 at 02:27 PM.. Good day on the car today, managed to replace 5 out of the 6 bushings that are in the subframe or wheel carriers meaning that I habe to press them out and back in by hand...shit of a job...the other 12 are in susp arms that i will take to a mates place and use a press, much easier
will start the dismantling to put the new outlets on tomorrow, needs lots to come off the car for me to get to it also have finished modding my stock exhaust, so a mate took it to weld the top covers back on it, should get it back tomorrow or monday, but have to finish the rear end work before it goes back on the car considering grinding and drilling the "flap" off the exhaust, has anyone done this? is it difficult to get it out of the rear pipe? |

Thanks Socks, Brule's post was really helpful, I've removed the old outlets and almost finished installing the new ones after work today, need some final adjustment and I'm done
Am really looking forward to getting the car back together and driving it , but I've still got plenty of work to do to get there I've started a new thread as a DIY for the RHD outlet install, pinched plenty of Brule's stuff and added a few more photo's, will put some more effort into it over the next couple of nights and it should hopefully be a good reference for the others who purchased the outlets. Brule is def the man though, saved me plenty of time following his post Will post some pics tomorrow |

From about two weeks ago, also managed to get the rear turbo outlet fitted, haven't fitted the front outlet due to needing to put the steering column in first
Also finished up the exhausts after modding them, a good friend welded them up and even painted them with HT paint, can hardly tell they've been touched... |

Need to ask some exhaust shops around Melbourne who can do that PE mod! |

This from Se7en335 They are two types of OEM bump stops. There is bump stops for non-sport suspension which is for all Australian and American e90s and some Australian e92s and there is the OEM bump stops for sport suspension which is on all American E92s but is an option for Australia e92s. So I ordered the ones for the non sport version (https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...ch/31336771352). These bump stops are too long for lowered suspension and will limit suspension travel since when you lower your car you wanna maintain OEMish suspension travel to maintain the shock's dampening force (too little suspension travel equals not enough dampening force and so you hit the bump stops way too early without enough dampening force of the compressed shock and so you get a jarring ride), only way to do that is by getting shorter bump stops and/or shorter strut mounts. Cheapest way is getting shorter bump stops. The e36 M3 front bump stops are exactly 1 inch shorter than the non-sport OEM front bump stops and the z4 M rear bump stops are also exactly 1 inch shorter than the OEM rears. Cheapest way is to just cut the OEM bump stops when you jack up the car. Trust me, it made a very noticeable difference. Feels like you install another suspension kit into your car. The ride soaks up bumps and imperfections much better than before |

Thanks Socks, I should be good, had msport suspension in it so should have the shorter ones, if I have this issue I'll pull them and adjust them, will do the fronts anyway as they're still off the car and slightly shorter stops won't hurt me...
