Whistling noise/screaming noise as revs increase
i now have a quite loud whistling noise/screaming noise as i accelerate the car
i dont know if its vacuum lines or boost related or an air lock in the coolant system? the car seems to boost fine etc, hope its not the noise created by worn turbos? |

A good way to verify if its a belt or pulley would be to get a friend behind the wheel and have him/her rev the engine while you inspect the engine bay to see where the noise is coming from.
Do you have a check engine light on? Have you scanned the ECU for potential codes? |

no lights on the dash, car boosts fine
a friend just said they could not feel any vibration on the small turbo whilst the revs are being held at 2000 or so but then he said it could be noise created by the air rushing through it differently, rather than the compressor wheel catching the housing which would obviously cause vibration to the touch |
