Whistling noise/screaming noise as revs increase

i now have a quite loud whistling noise/screaming noise as i accelerate the car

i dont know if its vacuum lines or boost related or an air lock in the coolant system?

the car seems to boost fine etc, hope its not the noise created by worn turbos?

I've just read that it could be one of the belt or idler pulley/pulley bearing

A good way to verify if its a belt or pulley would be to get a friend behind the wheel and have him/her rev the engine while you inspect the engine bay to see where the noise is coming from.

Do you have a check engine light on? Have you scanned the ECU for potential codes?

no lights on the dash, car boosts fine

a friend just said they could not feel any vibration on the small turbo whilst the revs are being held at 2000 or so

but then he said it could be noise created by the air rushing through it differently, rather than the compressor wheel catching the housing which would obviously cause vibration to the touch

he said he would have to remove all belts and run the engine briefly to do a process of elimination first as an obvious starting point

oops sorry, did not catch your location or MY. Not sure TBH. Other thing to look for is any areas that appear sooty, especially by turbos or even dpf differential pressure sensor hose

I'm not 100% sure on this, but the CCV hose should generally be in the same area. It runs between the oil separator duct on the valve cover down to the air intake pipe for the turbos.
