Charlie, with 2009 and up model Nav, you get side screen.
So if you enable DVD in motion, you can watch DVD while driving and put nav on side screen. I do this when I drive for long distance.
I coded from the previous GB and it works flawlessly.

yeah, i really want to get it working but my car's an 06. and so far what im reading is that it won't work with the first gen idrives?

+1, only if you live in Europe or Asia.

In North America the CCC idrives do not have the hardware installed to support dvd playback.

Hello everyone. Just a heads up on where we're at. I'm waiting for the cable (which was shipped this morning) and wondering if Jan 8/9 or Jan 15/16 would work better with everyone's schedule
