http://www.ottawa-vdubbing.com/forum...p?f=16&t=52392 They mention that they used the bmw tool to get the job done so I'd assume they could do our cars as well. They seem to have had a special when he went hence the price he paid but it seems closer to the 400 mark then what a dealer would charge. Hope this helps! |

Looks like so far we have two interested in a group buy for the intake valve cleaning at Autovation in Ottawa.
I don't want to wait too long cause I want mine cleaned ASAP. Can I have some firm numbers in who would be interested in having this done by end of this week? Thanks! |

When were you thinking of going to get it done? My car is still in storage right now lol..
If this is happening in the spring then count me in! Otherwise I guess I'll have to go on my own |

hi guys, just to give you all a heads up on vag motorsport in north shore of montreal.
the guy there gave me a quote of 360$, approx. time of job 6 hours and FREE loaner in the mean time. best price ive found so far and to change the plugs since hes in that area 30 minutes Prices labour. so Ottawa to montreal back and forth on fuel$20 I think its a good bargain . ill probably do it in 2 weeks from now. will keep you all posted |

Hi
Since I switched from a 335d to x5 35d I have a brand new oem set of rear brake pads and sensor cable that I need to get rid of. The pads will fit any e90, 91 335 x or non x drive. Pm me if interested |

heard some bad things about Autovation so now I don't feel very comfortable bringing my car there to have my intake valves cleaned via walnut blasting method.
it also seems like the bmw dealers in town (elite and ottos) don't regularly perform that service. the service advisors never really knew what i was talking about everytime i asked about cleaning my intake valves... looks like we're a little S.O.L. in Ottawa unless someone can make a good referral! |

Wow that sucks the bag! Why is Ottawa like this lol any other city has competent shops who do this. Well I am still waiting on stone_mtl for some feedback on VAG Motorsport in Laval I think it was. I mean I haven't heard bad things so for now that seems to be my first choice.
I have a good friend of mine who is also looking into getting this done so we could all make the trip. Keep me posted hunginator! |

Will do! Interested in hearing back from VAG Motorsport as well.
I was at the Otto's dealership today asked about cleaning my intake valves via walnut blasting method. The service advisor I was talking to knew about it! Seems like you just gotta talk to the right person. He said total job could be up to 7 hours... that would be expensive just labor alone! |
