Talking proposal for SUB 8 or 10 "

the car came with a base sound system and is currently upgraded to the following :
tweeters + front doors - Focal IFBMW - S
rear door - Audison APBMW X4M
these four channels are powered with Vibe powerbox 65.04 in plug and play conectors /bolt on/ aprox. 20 - second to install
this mini amp have ouput and give signal to another amp Kappa K5 for a seats subs and general subwoofer

in this moment this kappa give signals to :
under sead subs Focal IF BMW and ski bag subwoofer GZUW 10SQ/need to change/
looking for a suggestion for a 2om SUB in aprox 300/350 RMS and 8 or 10 inch better for me .. ( my problem is a low sub chanel in 4om = 200RMS )

and finaly i coding my bmw profesional CD to hi fi

For a proper sub, suggest either the IB route (see my pics, done with JL 12w3v3), or the typical corner load enclosure (typically done with a 10", sealed).

JL audio probably makes the best Subs in the business IMO.

I have the corner mount set up in the truck with the full fiberglass enclosure. It's powered by a 5 channel Alpine amp with 300rms @ 2ohm, which matches the 10" JL Audio sub to the tee. I also, have the ski pass open. I use two channels to power the underseat subs. I could double them and use 4 channels to power the underseat subs, but it's not necessary considering the type of music I listen too.

The bass is flawless when coupled with amped subs underneath the seats powered by the same amp. The truck sub & underneath the seat subs play nice together.

Infinite baffle is very efficient, so it will get the loud with the very little power. 12" is the minimum size, IMO. IDQ12, JL 12W3, 12W6 will work well.

I thought very much and I came to the conclusion that I would put 8" I was wondering to Focal Flax 20 Expert nice speaker tone ... but low db only 83+- and today i buy this https://www.gladen.com/GladenWooferPDFs/SQX08.pdf

the bark will be poured to come out of the seats slightly about 1 cm no more so that it is beautifully tight and at an angle there will be no loss

i think it will turn out the way i want just when inside the cabin there is a huge difference! I tested today!

Someone I know has two 8" JL subs in his Mini, don't know the exact specs but it was insane. You could literally feel the air around you move. It made its own breeze in there lol

Nice work so far, but I think you will regret putting such a small subwoofer into the ski-pass, unless you plan to put an enclosure behind it, and run it ported.

now i will try to defame you and you will agree with me
i have tested many variants of this as a stealth sub ...to all the options in the trunk
the truth is one does not direct the speaker to enter his sound wave into the coupe itself is just a waste of time and noise the speaker must always be in a closed volume to make all notes almost the whole car is isolated with dumping material 75 % in a car have it
everything should be commensurate ... i am currently with GZ SQ 10 inch 400 RMS ... believe this is unrealistically strong for what i want
front and rear door speakers is a 50 rms 100 peak witch 65 W rms power amp + underseats subs 100 RMS 200 peak to amp witch 75 W rms .. central sub .... now 10 SQ Ground Zero now i change to 8 inch but 8 inch witch 88.6 DB sens. .... the idea is that there is no loss of sound and everything is directed inside the passenger compartment and ALL TIME SEALED BOX ! ...just imagine a birdhouse

I have 2 JL 8W3v3-4 in the rear 6x9 speaker locations in my mini R53 with the HK sound system. In the mini these stock 6x9's are dual voice coil, so the HK amp sends 4 channels to the 2 rear 6x9's... in H/K mode on the DSP built into the amp, it sends 4 channels to the rear and use the rear speakers as woofers and sub-woofers, and the front systems as full-range drivers.

I have it set up where the stock amp is bridged driving the two subs. Focal components in front being driven by the stock HK amp and DSP. Everything is stealth and looks completely stock... but the bass can make your stomach upset. No one believes its a couple 8's with like barely 120 watts going to each. Everyone looks in the hatch expecting to find a 12 stealth enclosure or something... Best of all I have full functionality of my cargo space.

10" subs I have recent experience with.
If you need something very shallow, the Illusion Audio L10 is pretty good. Fits in a small box & is very shallow.
If you're looking for high value, I'm very impressed with the Image Dynamics ID10 in my E91. Great value for money and honestly sounds very good.
