Just got back from another trip to RA and noticed my brake pedal gets softer towards the end of the braking zone. EX: 135mph - 50mph from 275/300ft out.

Would SS lines help keep it firmer? I'm using motul 600 and hawk 5.0 pads so I don't believe i'm over cooking the breaks....

I doubt it has anythign to do with the brake lines. You should really look at running HP+ or better pads in general. 5.0 is a street pad comparable to OEM but with more initial bite/torque.

Reality is that you probably need to vent the brakes somehow if you are getting pads that hot. Add some ducts, bend the heat shields back, etc.

I planed to run ducting before this event but ran out of time, instead I took off the entire heat shield. Not sure how well it actually helped cool the brakes.

Ill look into some better pad options.

It isn't a heat shield so much as a debris shield, and it's supposed to aid in ducting air towards the center of the rotor so it can travel out through the veins of the rotor to cool it...at least that's the theory. I have noticed SS quite a lot in a street use, much firmer/instant response from the brakes, kind of like when braking with the ACC active (pre-boost feeling). And my old lines were perfectly fine.

you are absolutely over cooking the brakes. ss lines will improve feel, but won't help this problem.

You can also looking into brass caliper bushings as a way to improve firmness. I have the ECS branded copper bushings and they did help a little bit. I find that my pedal gets soft too near the end of a session too. I have ECS SS lines too, but unfortunately I did the SS lines with the bushings so it was hard to tell which one had more of an effect.

Brake pad type, and how well they are bedded in and kept in their optimum temperature window has far bigger impact on brake feel than SS lines. You still get soft pedal at the end of a braking zone with actual track pads if they are not bedded in properly and up to temp.

I love my SS lines. Great improvement in feel and response but this won't really help OP's issue. As other suggested, either more aggressive pads and/or more cooling. Also, the 600 fluid is great but it needs to be changed more often with that kind of abuse they are seeing. Since it is hydrophobic it's also susceptible to absorbing water, reducing boiling temp further.
