Plastidip E90 LCI Stock Bumper

Got bored today and decided to try plastidipping the lines of the LCI stock rear bumper. The good thing is I can peel it off anytime i want. I do plan on switching to the M sport rear but for now i think this looks decent. Let me know what you think

Edit: Here's a picture i found on my phone from when everything was masked off and the first coat was done in case anyone wanted to see. Sorry it's not as good quality as the other pictures but i just snapped it quickly for one of my friends to see.

Not bad. Very subtle but looks better than stock imo. Wondering how this would look on AW...

Wow, how'd you do it? Looks like grey plastidip, perhaps masked off by tape?

I actually got the idea from a AW 328i that someone posted about a while ago. I think he did the ends much better and if I did it again that's the one thing I would change. Here you go:

Yea it does look kinda gray even though its regular black plastidip from a can ... Anyways i did it by masking off the area than doing the usual 3-4 coats. When i felt like i had enough coats i went and got the edge near the tape wet by adding another coat in small sections at a time. As each section was wet i'd peel the tape away from that part and went down until all the tape was off.

Edit: Forgot to say i used a ziploc sandwich bag to cover the exhaust tips

Yea I kind of like it also. I think it might have came out that way because I didn't do enough coats... This was my first time doing it on paint instead of things that are chrome so that could be the why.

Haha if you can do the door handles you can definitely do this. It's really easy and probably took me about an hour maybe an hour and a half to do everything. Just go really slow with the prepping and tape right up at the line. After you have 4 coats or more and you're satisfied with the color just get it wet along the tape and then pull away. When the plastidip is wet it won't peel away with the tape.

No you tape off whatever you don't want dipped and dip everything including the edges. When you are satisfied with the color you just do one last coat by getting the edge wet where it meets the tape and peel it off while wet. If you do that the tape will come off and create a perfect line without peeling away any plastidip. I keep thinking about doing the door handles but idk if it'd look good since i don't have black wheels... feel free to post a picture though i'd love to see how it looked. I'm also a bit worried about the texture since the door handle is what you touch most often so what do you think about the texture?

Look very nice. Quick question. How did you plastic dipped your "335" signage? Did you have to take it off or just masked around it?

Thanks.
