Question Suggestions for turbos

It appears my stock turbos finally took a crap, hitting 220K original miles. I'm not all about modding, bone stock as she is. With that said, what do you recommend per stock replacements, for these twin turbos? Vargas? RB Turbos? 17t turbos? I haven't been on this forum for a while, till car troubles finally caught up with me. Let me know when you can...thanks all.

220k on original turbos is awesome. Congrats!

If you're not looking to mod, can't beat a fresh set of stockers--after all, these lasted 220k. Get them from FCP and get a lifetime warranty!

I did just take a look, though the $2K figures for both front/rear is putting a damper on this suggestion... of course, I also don't want to cheap out. I honestly doubt I'll have this car for another 200K miles...but who knows. Open to more alternatives if possible though.

IMO if you cheap out, you're gonna end up doing it twice so that would rule out VTT and ebay turbos. Not to mention all of those upgraded options will require bolt ons and a custom tune.

OEM or RB OEM replacement ftw!

If you don't plan to keep her super long you could always get some low mileage used turbos but IMO just do it right, it sounds like the car has been good to you so it'll be a worthwhile investment!

If you want up to 400-ish HP, go with a set of new Mitsubishi oem turbos from FCP Euro.

If you want 450+hp, look at the RB Twos.

Both are pretty solid options if you want something to last, although the RB turbos have quite a bit of improvements that "should" make them last longer than the OEM turbos at similar boost levels.

Don't waste your money on those cheap ebay/amazon 17T turbos.....a quick google search will show you how unreliable they are. Same goes for most of the other china manufactured turbos.
