DP install help

Got the factory downpipes out without any issue but when I attempted to install the rear turbo DP(left V band somewhat loose for adjustment) it seems that in order to connect to the cat back pipes it wants to hit the mount that holds turbo's, in other words as I tighten catback side bolts/nuts it draws the DP into the turbo mount/engine(due to vband being loose).

It seems to clear the subframe just fine.

So I removed the bolts\nuts that connect to cat back, lined up the rear turbo DP perfectly between subframe and turbo bracket/engine, tightened down the Vband but when I try to connect to cat back it seems like its not perfectly lined up and its a strain to even start the nuts on the bolts to connect cat back.

Am I doing something wrong?
Or is this just how it is? Basically fitment is never perfect, something has to give and its the cat back you have to rank on to make up for fitment issues?

I think you aren't getting as much feedback because your description is confusing. Point out on the picture what you are talking about. It may help some.

I've done two DP installs and never had issues. It helps to have another person hold the front of the DP up and tighten the vband. Also tighten the vband down first and loosen if needed to adjust to fit with catback.

Doh, I thought I explained it well.

OK new info.

I installed the longer DP(front) and it's a good 1/2 half inch closer to the catback side of the exhaust vs. the shorter/rear DP.

Also, the 02 bung on the longer pipe is out of place, the 02 sensor cannot reach the bung so it can't screw in.

No amount of adjusting the front/longer DP gets 02 close enough to screw in.

I think I might have the wrong pipes here.

I assume you had to do that to get the DP's exactly where you wanted them cause tightening them down catback side first would mess with your placement?

I think that's where I am.

this is very hard to follow. I installed my downpipes by myself with zero issues.. Can you take a few pics of the issues your having?

My guess is BMS. If so, gotta go through engine bay, find the o2 sensor wire and unclip it from the mount to allow more slack.

That is correct. Terry got back to me on this and let me know about this step, thanks for heads up though.
I have all 4 mid pipe bolts/nuts started and vband clamps fitted but loose.

Guess I'll just keep playing with it and figure it out.
Still think I'll end up having to tighten vbands first to ensure perfect placement and no vibrating on something.

Otherwise if I tighten midpide side first it will pull DP into something making it vibrate on something.

Could be a defective set, Terry shouldn't have an issue swapping these for you.
