Changing adaptive headlights?

If you're talking about just disabling the function that causes the xenons to move left/right, up/down, you can simply remove the control unit (not to be confused with the larger ballast) and then the headlights will stay where you set them. There are adjustment screws easily accessed to adjust the aim. Removing the control unit will not cause an error in my experience and you can access the control unit by loosening the fender liner and pulling it back. The control unit looks like this.
Hi there, hope you are still on here. I have a lci e90 330d with adaptive lights, I need to change headlight direction from RHD to LHD, can I do this without having to change headlight units? If not, can I swap over the units quite easily if I get non adaptive lci headlights? TIA for any help you can provide.

When i swapped my OEM projectors to some better ones i did notice OEM ones have some lever that you can adjust that would make the cutoff completely flat but you loose lighting distance by doing that since there is no more raised side.

Another and better option is to just replace the projectors with the cutoff you need.

I was able to remove projectors from the rear opening (non adaptive headlights) and the difference with improved projectors is HUGE.

What makes it RHD or LHD is a cutoff plate inside the projector. You can replace just the projectors and have a great upgrade as stated above. I also got a set of Ahron xenon projectores from retrofitlab.com for my pre-lci e90 non-adaptive self leveling xenons. The difference is awesome.

I think you can get upgraded xenon projectors for your lci adaptives from Lightwerkz. I think those are even better and sell a LED option too.
