Car is 2011 325i recently has oil leak from the eccentric shaft sensor gasket. Gasket was replaced 3 days ago and cleaned the sensor, no codes.

Now I have 2A31, Eccentric Shaft Sensor: Guide.

Car is running fine, no rough idle and start normal. Should I replace the sensor or try to clear the fault code?

I also attach ISTA ScreenPrint showing ESS wiring & Lines ID. See TINY Pin #s on ESS/ connector, after removing connector.

You might get some clues by viewing Freeze Frame data & Live data related to Eccentric Shaft. Please let us know what your find.

The problem is fixed now after I replace the eccentric shaft sensor. Clear fault codes and not returning after 2 weeks.
